Die Farbe Gelb ist ein wichtiges Element in meinen Arbeiten und wird in vielen meiner Werke thematisiert. Sie ist die Farbe des Lichts und symbolisiert für mich die Sehnsucht nach der Sonne und nach den südlichen Ländern. Das Gelb welches ich benutze hat immer denselben Farbton, ein sehr leuchtender, etwas grünlicher Ton, fast wie eine Neonfarbe. Über die Auseinandersetzung mit der Farbe habe ich die Form entwickelt und auf diese Weise entstanden meine Zitroneninstallationen. Viele meiner Arbeiten haben eine minimalistische Form, sie sind oft raumbezogen und häufig seriell angelegt. Die zusätzliche Verfremdung, das Spiel mit der Bedeutung, verleiht ihnen einen ungewohnten Aspekt und erzeugt Momente der Überraschung und der Irritation. Immer häufiger entwickle ich meine Arbeiten in der Auseinandersetzung mit der Natur, deren Formenvielfalt und Strukturen mich zu immer neuen Ideen anregen. Mit den Arbeiten, die direkt in der Natur entstehen, möchte ich einen Kontrast herstellen und Kunst als ein Gegenüber zur Natur zeigen.

The yellow colour is a specific element in my work and is very often my subject. It’s the colour of the light and for me it symbolises the longing for the southern countries and the sun. The colour I use always has the same tone, which is very bright and slightly greenish. It is almost luminous . Through this discussion I transform the colour into the form and develop my lemon installations. Many of my works have a minimal shape, they are often site specific and some have a serial appearance. An additional alienation gives them an unexpected point of view and a moment of surprise and irritation. More and more I develop my works in dialogue with nature, it’s structures and forms, which stimulate me with new ideas. I like to put in contrast to nature, those installations and sculptures which I create for a natural environment. To show them in opposition to the surroundings.
